276 - Spooktacular!

I stole this from Leigh Young!

This week on TheAvod, your friends Count Vardulon and DM watch three movies set on Halloween. One of them is fabulous, one of them is problematic, and the other is pretty bad. Tune in to find out who's getting hate mail, and stay to hear more about Toronto After Dark. Click here for a Kickstarter that's about to run out. And check out this link that no longer works.

275 - Tough Boy

This week on TheAvod, your friends Count Vardulon and DM have a long talk about video games bring out the worst in people. The main event, however, is a rundown of the first half of Toronto After Dark, a genre film festival that's happening now (at the time of writing). Tune in to find out why you should watch First of the North Star (the cartoon), but not at 3x speed. Also, we want your money.

274 - Huis Clos

This week, your friends Count Vardulon and DM try to cobble together a murder mystery theme show and end up with something very different but still really good. Weirdly, two of the movies selected for this week's show end up being locked-room suspense movies, and the other one is Gone Girl. Tune in to find out what you shouldn't be watching and stay to find out who's not going to see Mockingjay. Click here to read a poorly-articulated impassioned plea regarding Exodus: Gods and Kings.

273 - Faker!

This week, your friends Count Vardulon and DM almost cobble a theme show of movies filmed in Manitoba, but Texas Chainsaw ruins that. Other things ruined by Texas Chainsaw include chronology and morality. Silent Night turns out to be a remake in name and killer Santa only, and the end of Curse of Chucky is totally worth the first two thirds of the movie. Tune in to find out what's on TV and stay to hear a book review.

272 - Space Pirates

This week, your friends Count Vardulon and DM take issue with Canadian and Australian film, but they really like them some anime. Someone, somehow found a way to make grifting boring, and someone else forgot to give their badguy motivation. Space Pirate Captain Harlock, on the other hand, is just as awesome as it sounds. Tune in to find out what's good on TV, and stay to hear a rundown of another terrible list.
